the unspoken genocide for art’s sake

after witnessing garbage bin after garbage bin being filled by first year sculpture students, i decided to do a slow performance with the university of victoria's undergraduate students' discarded art projects. i wheeled the entire garbage bin into the gallery and dumped it there. was proceeded was a sorting and honouring of all these valuable objects, mostly wood, that were being thrown away onto the land somewhere else - but nevertheless still on this earth.
